Roxanne Reviews The Serendipity Mindset: The Art and Science of Creating Good Luck by Christian Busch, PhD.
The Serendipity Mindset: The Art and Science of Creating Good Luck is the perfect reset book for anyone knocked down by the pandemic, whether the slump’s effects are financial, mental/ emotional or physical. Christian Busch unveils ways to start thinking outside the box and saying yes to more ideas, even when we may not be feeling the enthusiasm.
As simplistic as it sounds, Busch’s book basically encourages putting one foot in front of the other in order to begin connecting the dots to other forward thinking ideas and opportunities. Yet, Busch’s ideas are anything, but shallow. His chapter entitled "The Stimulated Mind" delves into thermodynamics theory, explaining that just as all energy has power, the antithesis, entropy’s trappings, can be deterioration. Meaning, as both individuals and as a collective human race, we need to be channeling our energy toward positive attitudes and intentions.
Busch’s journaling and workout ideas at each chapter’s end help solidify the information to start your own happy snowball effect engine. Let’s face it, the last four months have been draining to each and everyone of us. Busch’s book gives us a remedy and a source for optimism.
